iEnvi is back!
Hello from my office at our HQ in Brisbane (it is nice to be back - albeit with controls and distancing!).
It a beautiful day, though a little lonely as most of our staff are continuing to work from home (when not on-site). Its a landmark 100 days or so since the first COVID-19 case hit our shores. It’s been a rough ride and it’s not over yet to varying levels nationally, but the way Australians have pulled together has been remarkable. While the hatches have been firmly battened down at iEnvi, work has proceeded along at a fairly stable pace, albeit it from under our houses, sheds and living room tables. One of the things we have really missed is getting out there with our clients and staff functions, and though much of our site work has remained, some of it has been cut back.
Coming online now are lots of infrastructure projects and with the easing of lockdowns nationally many of our more forward-thinking clients are starting to ramp up work again. Foremost here is the preparation work especially preliminary site investigations whether on desktop devices or in the field and especially for new developments and M&A activities - a good sign that some confidence remains in the economy. In addition, we have been repeatedly assisting major construction projects now we have a great construction team to assist, who have been getting high praise and excellent feedback from our linear project construction clients. A special thanks to all our clients for being understanding, our site crews for flexibility and a special shout out to our very flexible staff Hannah, Bosco, Jessica, Sukie, Jacqui, Danny and Steve (who has had to run our Sydney team from the comfort his North Shore apartment).
Some of our recent project that might be of interest have been featured in our iEnvi Machete blog that you might like to check out.
1. Reed beds continue to be a growth area for the discerning client, where natural systems can help contain and rehabilitate contamination and effluent in a cost effective way. More information on applications of reed beds can be found here
2. Environmental Audits are a popular service we undertake for clients - with a spike of site management plan requests in Victoria recently for recycling centres. In this case for a construction EMP, it was an essential requirement before beginning construction, and as with many of the EMPs, it helps get a good idea of what the client needs to be aware of going forward and operating their business or development undertaking. Our construction business has taken off with major projects coming in, and some of the best construction environmental teams put together receiving great client feedback.
3. Environmental management plans are a popular service we undertake for clients - with a spike of site management plan requests in Victoria recently for recycling centres. 4. Preliminary Site investigations are how we meet most of our new clients. The Preliminary Site investigations (PSI) is often the first step into the world of environmental contamination. It's here we can really help our clients take the next step in property development or reuse, understand if there are any issues going forward and critically work together to develop solutions of they are required at a later date. See in this project how we helped an auto recycler.
As always we are keen to hear from you, so drop us a line and let us know how you are going
best wishes from Michael and all the crew at iEnvironmental Australia Pty Ltd
